Melanie and Gavin's Travels

About to leave Canada

Hello all. I'm in Burlington (Ontario) now and am nearly finished a visit with my family and friends here. It's been great, as usual.

I expected to see more trees turning red and golden orange, but I suppose the fact that I haven't seen any more snow is a bonus. Gavin appears to have been designated driver for most of the boys' self proclaimed whiskey tour in Scotland, so I can only hope that I meet them all safely in Edinburgh on Wednesday! They lost his baggage in Glasgow for a day, thank god they found his only real possessions for the next 7 months. Things seem to be pretty calm politically in Thailand and Nepal and I'm feeling relaxed about our trip. Oh and did I mention I am also EXCITED?!

When I write again it will be from across the Ocean and I'll already have eaten my favourite thing in England (a Boost chocolate bar) and had a good few hours to wander around some of London. Then it's up north to charming Edinburgh.

Thanks to all for the lovely goodbye's in Alberta and Ontario. Love Melanie
