Cheers from Edinburgh

It's rainy and a bit chilly here in Edinburgh today. I feel like I am falling back into the swing of things travelwise, especially after doing a night flight to get to London and then bumming around for an afternoon before catching a train to Edinburgh. I was tired and forgot how heavy my backpack felt. Good thing I don't need to take all of it trekking thousands of meters and hundreds of kilometers in Nepal, we can leave things at the guesthouse there.

When I got to Edinburgh on Tues at 10pm I wasn't expecting to see Gavin until the next day, but he and Stevely and Dave were at the train station waiting for me. So I walked off the train with a big smile on my face. We have been having fun since then. Yesterday was a real tour around kind of day - up Arthur's Seat for some fantastic views of the city and a picnic lunch, a tour around the gorgeous Edinburgh Castle and dinner out on the town with some friends. We actually ate at the restaurant where Gavin and I had our first date too, agh the memories.... Tonight we are going on a ghost tour of the underground tunnels here in town and out to hear some live music. That's always been one of my favourite things about this city.

Gavin and I are both getting emails from random people who are going to be in the same places as us while we are on the road (Nepal for example). It's a small world I tell you. Stevely is trying to book himself a flight home next week. Dave flew back this morning, with many a whiskey bottle of course.

Adios.
