PHOTOS of the Taj Mahal
The Taj mahal is in Agra, India, about 3 hours by train from Delhi. It was beautiful to see it in person. As you can see from the photos there were a lot of people there, but then we expected that. It was also 750 Rupees/ $17US to get in for foreigners and only 20 Rupees for Indians - I guess we make that much more?! The Taj was made by a man (King, I think) who lost his 'favourite' wife and wanted a monument to her. They are now both buried there. These photos are at different times of the day, so you can see it a little bit with the colour changing as the sun is setting.
