Leaving Kathmandu shortly

Today we booked another trip! Very exciting news indeed. We are going to Royal Chitwan National Park and leave on Thurs, so in 2 days. It was so hard to find a tour, there are travel agents who book them everywhere here. But then they tell you prices ranging between $60 - $95 for what looks to be essentially the same thing. We didn't want to just go with the cheapest if it meant a lower quality. So we booked at an agent we had previously used, and are paying $65 US for 2 nights/3 days and that includes our bus down to Chitwan, elephant ride to see rhinos, a canoe trip and jungle walk, some bird watching, a cultural night and visit to the elephant breeding center! I am excited about it, Chitwan is one of the places a lot of people go to in Nepal and it looks really cool.

From there we will make our way into India, we expect to be there on Sunday or Monday. So within one week which is great. I have been looking at photos of Varanasi online and it looks amazing, i am losing my nervousness and getting ready to hit India.

Online I've also been searching out places to get diamond rings in India. Apparently it's a diamond mecca, so I'm hoping the shops are professional with certificates and all of that jazz. Sometimes shopping in these countries can give you a headache. We will probably look in Mumbai, that seems to be the place.

I will upload more photos on here after our wildlife adventure and when we get to Varanasi. Thanks for the updates from everyone, I love hearing from people as it makes me feel so connected and not very homesick. Yes, believe it or not the girl who goes travelling so often does get homesick!
